God's never offside, Lorna Grady, The Partnership Publishing Solutions, 2005 ISBN 1-9543683-1-2
The book has 174 pages and has 12 chapters of theological reflections by footballers for example-
How do I know that I am a Christian: Bert Konterman
God loves everyone: Juan Carlos Valeron
Why should be read the Bible? Darren Moore
Going to church: Taribo West
The power of Prayer: Marvin Andrews
The format of the chapter is photo of the player, career facts, best 11 players played with or against (a nice touch) and then about 10-12 pages on the topic, written almost as an interview with long verbatim quotes from the player. The chapter ends with a few verses of Scripture.
As always in a book of this nature, some chapters are better than others. I particularly enjoyed Darren Moore's chapter. That Cyrille Regis's name was misspelt every time was unfortunate.
